There was some hail this morning, so I thought I'd take a picture of one of my nearly finished lights in my #moss garden, dusted with hail, to show you. I might add some red stitches to this to support the red lights here, as they are a bit sparse. Those are made after Trichia decipiens (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trichia_decipiens).

Finished! The shawl inspired by the old churchyard in Stirling is done. No posh yarn in this one but lots of surface work. Ended up more cosplay than everyday! Thinking abstract gravestones, lichen, dying leaves, rowan berries, hips, bindweed, spiders' webs and snail shells. One for next Halloween! As ever, no pattern.
Instead of a regular program, next month my fiber guild has invited members to talk about a fiber-related book of any kind. I signed up to talk about Worn by Sofie Thanhauser, which was super depressing to read (I may have skipped some chapters at the end), but someone else also signed up to talk about it & I'm yielding the book to her. Now I have to finish reading Uppercase Magazine's Stitch Illo or maybe talk about American Flannel. Or some third book. I'm open to suggestions! #fiberArt
Pictures don't really show that I could have done a better job on this one, but happy enough. I found it surprisingly difficult to start another robin after making one for a now dearly missed friend. Figured that if I didn't make one now, I would never make one again. So... one robin.

When I was so small, my neighbor gave me a half dollar she'd drilled a hole through. I wore it around my neck until the string broke & the coin was lost. I have been obsessed with coins with holes in them ever since!
